Job summary

Akumin Inc. in Wesley Chapel, FL is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform high-quality MR studies on-site and remotely when needed. You will ensure patient safety, pre-screen for contraindications, and communicate effectively with Radiologists and staff.

Responsibilities include producing diagnostic MR images, operating multiple MR systems, and training new technologists and support staff. A sign-on bonus of $2,500 is offered and travel to mobile units may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• ARRT MR or ARRT(R) or ARMRIT certification
• State license, if applicable
• CPR Certification
• Valid state driver’s license
• MR registered technologist RT(MR) or ARMRIT: No experience required
• Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience (preferred)
• Registry in Magnetic Resonance by the ARRT (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Responsible for Patient Safety, including pre-screening for contraindications, aseptic technique and may require remote MR Technologists Assistant oversight.
• Produces high quality diagnostic images.
• Operation of multiple MR systems may be required.
• Trains and/or orients new technologists, patient coordinators and MR Technologist Assistants, on site and/or remote.
• Other duties as assigned.
