Job summary

Akumin is hiring an MRI Technologist Float for surrounding Tampa locations. This full-time role focuses on patient safety and high-quality MR studies across on-site and remote environments.

The position requires ARRT/ARMRIT registry and CPR, with licensing as applicable, plus mobility across locations and strong customer service. Remote work options may be available; local travel could be involved.

Qualifications

• ARRT (R) / ARRT (MR) / ARMRIT eligible per contract
• CPR certification required
• State license, if applicable
• 3 months MRI experience or >6 months in accredited MRI program
• MR registered technologist RT(MR) or ARMRIT: no experience required
• Ability to work at multiple locations
• Strong customer service and patient-facing skills
• Basic computer skills and software familiarity
• Local travel may be required
• COVID-19 vaccination may be a condition of employment

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety and perform high-quality MR studies on site and/or remote
• Operate multiple MRI systems as needed
• Communicate effectively with radiologists, staff, patients and customers
• Train/orient new technologists, coordinators and assistants on site and/or remote
• Perform other duties as assigned
