Job summary

Akumin Inc. in Tampa, FL is hiring a full-time MRI Technologist to perform high-quality MR studies with emphasis on patient safety. You will pre-screen for contraindications, assist radiologists, and operate multiple MR systems to produce diagnostic images across on-site and remote environments.

The role requires ARRT MR or ARMRIT eligibility, CPR, and the ability to travel between local sites. A $2,500 sign-on bonus is included and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• ARRT MR / ARMRIT eligibility as allowable by contract.
• State license, if applicable.
• CPR Certification.
• Ability to work at multiple locations.
• COVID-19 vaccination may be a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for Patient Safety, including pre-screening for contra-indications, aseptic injection technique and may require remote MR Technologists Assistant oversite.
• Produces high quality diagnostic images.
• Operation of multiple MR systems may be required.
• Demonstrates the ability to use all channels of communications to address concerns, solve problems, and address conflict.
• Effectively communicates with customers and/or radiologists.
• Trains and orients new technologists, patient coordinators and MR Technologist Assistants, on site and/or remote.
• Other duties as assigned.
