Job summary

Atrium Health’s Carolinas Medical Center (CMC) in Charlotte, NC is seeking an MRI Technologist I to operate MRI scanners, prepare patients, verify orders, and document results in the EMR, following departmental protocols.

Requirements include ARRT-recognized Radiologic/Nuclear Medicine training or MRI registry eligibility, CPR certification, and strict adherence to radiation safety. This full-time role offers weekend shifts and a sign-on bonus within a major health system.

Qualifications

Graduate of an ARRT-recognized Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology program or MRI registry eligible.
MRI registry must be obtained within 1 year of hire.
CPR certification required.
Active MRI ARRT registry eligibility or ARMRIT program preferred.

Responsibilities

Operate MRI scanners following departmental protocols and standards.
Verify orders with Radiologist and resolve discrepancies.
Prepare patients with full explanations; collect medical history and document in EMR.
Administer IV contrast according to protocol and record details.
Maintain radiation safety practices and equipment integrity.
Assist in invasive procedures and coordinate with radiology team.
