Job summary

Atrium Health’s Carolinas Medical Center seeks an MRI Technologist I to perform MRI procedures per department standards. You will operate MRI scanners, ensure patient safety, and collaborate with radiologists throughout exams.

Responsibilities include patient prep, order verification, image quality review, and safe handling of IV contrast while maintaining EMR documentation and adherence to radiation safety practices.

Qualifications

• ARRT-recognized Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine program graduate.
• MRI registry eligibility within 1 year of hire.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI scanners and related equipment following protocols.
• Verify orders with Radiologist and prepare patients.
• Document procedures and capture diagnostic images.
• Ensure radiation safety and patient monitoring throughout exams.
• Prepare IV contrast and monitor for adverse reactions.
