Job summary

Atrium Health’s Carolinas Medical Center (CMC) in Charlotte, NC seeks an MRI Technologist I to perform scans per protocol, operate MRI equipment, and assist radiologists.

Responsibilities include verifying orders with radiologists, preparing patients, interviewing medical histories, administering IV contrast, maintaining safety and infection control, and coordinating with clinical staff.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates knowledge of growth and development principles and applies to patient care.
• Understands patient population needs across ages and cultures.
• Requires CPR certification as part of professional readiness.

Responsibilities

• Verify orders with Radiologist before performing exam.
• Identify and assist patients with explanations of procedures.
• Interview patients for medical history and review EMRs.
• Perform MRI scanning and assist during procedures; ensure image quality.
• Prepare IV contrast per protocol and document administration.
• Maintain radiation safety and report equipment malfunctions.
