Qualifications

• Associates degree in Radiologic Technology or MRI technology certificate.
• Minimum 1 year MRI experience preferred.
• MR registry required or eligible; certification within 24 months if eligible.
• SC Radiography QA Standards preferred; BLS within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Review orders prior to procedures to ensure accuracy.
• Educate and prepare patients for MRI and MR safety.
• Obtain accurate medical history for radiologist interpretation.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures.
• Perform MRI procedures and operate MRI coils to obtain high quality images.
• Start IV, load and operate power injector, administer contrast per protocol.
• Complete exams in hospital information system; clean and maintain equipment.
• May mentor/train students or new hires.
