Job summary

Tidelands Health in South Carolina is seeking an MRI Technologist IIA to perform MRI procedures and produce high-quality diagnostic images for radiologists.

The role requires an Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology or MRI certificate, MR safety expertise, and 1 year of MRI experience; licensure or eligibility is required with MR certification within 24 months.

You will educate patients, document history, and maintain equipment while ensuring patient comfort and safety during scans.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology required.
• MRI technology certificate required.
• Minimum 1 year MRI experience preferred.
• SC radiography license or eligibility; MR certification within 24 months.

Responsibilities

• Review orders prior to procedures to ensure accuracy and avoid delays.
• Educate and prepare patients for MRI procedures and MR safety.
• Obtain and document patient medical history for radiologists.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety during exams.
• Perform MRI procedures as ordered and operate MRI equipment.
• Start IV, load and operate contrast media injector per protocol.
• Complete exams in the hospital information system.
• Maintain and clean imaging equipment; mentor students/new hires.
