Job summary

Union Medical Services, LLC seeks an MRI Technologist to perform high-quality imaging studies while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and clear communication with patients and staff in a fast-paced radiology department.

You will verify orders, prepare patients, administer IV contrast per protocol, operate MRI equipment, assist during invasive procedures, monitor for adverse reactions, document thoroughly in the MAR, and maintain equipment and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Graduate of ARRT-recognized Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
• MRI registry must be obtained within 1 year of hire.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Examine requests and verify orders before performing exams.
• Identify patients using two identifiers and explain procedures.
• Review EMR and medical history to correlate results.
• Operate MRI equipment and assist during invasive procedures.
• Prepare and administer IV contrast per protocols; record usage.
• Maintain radiation safety for staff, patients and others.
• Document contrast administration in the MAR.
• Keep work areas clean and fully stocked.
