Job summary

Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC, seeks a motivated MRI Technologist I to perform MRI procedures per established protocols. You will operate MRI scanners, prep patients, verify orders, and collaborate with Radiologists to ensure accurate exams and high-quality imaging.

The role requires ARRT-recognized radiologic/nuclear medicine training, CPR certification, and eligibility for MRI ARRT registry within 12 months.

Qualifications

• Graduate of ARRT-recognized Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
• MRI ARRT registry eligibility must be obtained within 12 months of hire.
• CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Operates MRI scanners per departmental protocols and standards.
• Verifies orders and questions orders with Radiologist before exam.
• Prepares patients for procedures with explanations and documents appropriately.
• Administers IV contrast according to protocols and monitors patient safety.
• Maintains radiation safety and quality control during imaging procedures.
