Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT-recognized Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine program.
• MRI ARRT registry eligibility or ARMRIT program enrollment required.
• MRI registry must be obtained within 1 year of hire; BLS required.
• Knowledge of growth and development applicable to patient populations.

Responsibilities

• Verify requests and refer to Radiologist before performing exam; contact provider on discrepancies.
• Identify patients and explain procedures; document on appropriate worksheets.
• Interview patients to obtain complete medical history and review EMRs for pertinent history.
• Perform MRI scanning and assist during invasive procedures with sterile technique.
• Maintain radiation safety and report equipment malfunctions to management.
• Operate radiology computer systems and document contrast administration in MAR.
• Assist anesthesia when necessary and adhere to infection control policies.
