Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a qualified MRI Technologist to perform MRI procedures, prep patients, and verify orders with Radiology staff. You will ensure patient safety, administer contrast as needed, and document procedures in the MAR while maintaining high image quality.

The role requires ARRT accreditation in Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology and MRI registry within 12 months, with BLS. Expect collaboration with radiologists and compliance with safety protocols in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Graduate of ARRT-recognized Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
• MRI registry must be obtained within 1 year of hire; BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Examines requests and verifies orders with Radiologist before performing exam.
• Identify patients using two identifiers and explain procedures.
• Interviews patients for history and reviews EMRs to obtain pertinent data.
• Assumes responsibility for the exam from start to dictated results.
• Administers IV contrast per protocol and records type/amount when required.
• Evaluates image quality and consults Radiologist as needed; performs extra reconstructions.
