Job summary

Advocate Health seeks an MRI Technologist I to perform procedures per departmental protocols, operating MRI scanners and related equipment with high proficiency, including post processing stations, IV contrast injectors, and patient monitoring tools. You will verify orders with Radiologists, prepare patients, obtain a complete medical history, and document procedures.

The role includes assisting in invasive MRI procedures, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring high-quality imaging

Qualifications

• Graduate of ARRT-recognized radiologic or nuclear medicine program.
• MRI registry eligible or ARMRIT program; registry within 1 year of hire.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI scanners and associated equipment with proficiency.
• Verify orders with Radiologist and address discrepancies.
• Identify and prepare patients, obtain history, and document procedures.
• Perform MRI scanning and assist in invasive procedures.
• Maintain radiation safety and sterile technique.
