Job summary

North Knoxville Medical Center is seeking an MRI Technologist I to perform routine MRI procedures, ensuring patient safety, comfort and high-quality imaging for physician evaluation. The role includes operating MRI equipment, maintaining supplies, and adhering to department protocols.

Qualifications include graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology or MRI program and 0–2 years of clinical MRI experience with ARRT or eligible ARMRIT within 12 months.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or MRI program required.
• 0-2 years of clinical experience as a registered MRI Technologist required.
• ARRT certification or eligible with ARMRIT eligibility within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs MRI procedures per physician orders and protocols, producing high-quality images.
• Reviews patient questionnaires and histories to identify contraindications.
• Operates MRI and processing equipment per safety guidelines.
• Educates and prepares patients to ensure understanding and comfort.
• Maintains MRI safety zones and verifies readiness before scans.
• Documents clinical history with exam findings for radiologist review.
• Monitors equipment functionality and reports issues promptly.
• Collaborates with radiologists and healthcare team to optimize imaging results.
