Job summary

Tennova Healthcare- North Knoxville Medical Center is seeking an MRI Technologist I to perform routine MRI procedures, ensure patient safety and comfort, and produce high-quality images for physician evaluation.

You will operate and maintain imaging equipment, review patient histories, educate patients, adhere to MRI safety standards, document findings, manage supplies, and collaborate with radiologists and the health care team.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of MRI principles, safety standards, and imaging techniques.
• Proficient in operating MRI equipment and associated software.

Responsibilities

• Operates MRI and processing equipment per physician orders and protocols.
• Reviews patient questionnaires and histories for contraindications.
• Educates and prepares patients for MRI exams.
• Ensures MRI safety standards and zone adherence.
• Documents clinical history and correlates findings for radiologist.
• Maintains MRI supplies and equipment inventory.
• Verifies orders and patient ID before starting procedures.
• Collaborates with radiologists and healthcare team for optimal results.
• Monitors and reports MRI equipment issues.
• Provides patient guidance during and after exams.
