Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC is seeking a part-time MRI Technologist to perform imaging exams, verify orders, and ensure patient safety throughout procedures. The role requires collaboration with Radiologists, nurses, and other staff to deliver high-quality diagnostic results.

Responsibilities include patient prep, history intake, contrast administration, safety protocol adherence, and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA-approved Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
• ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology or NMTCB with MRI registry within one year of hire.
• BLS certification required.

Responsabilités

• Examine requests, verify orders, and refer questions to a Radiologist before exams.
• Identify patients using two identifiers and prepare them with explanations.
• Collect medical history from EMR and document requisitions.
• Oversee the exam from start to dictated results.
• Prepare and administer IV contrast per protocol; record type and amount if requested.
• Assist during MRI scanning and maintain sterile technique during procedures.
• Maintain radiation safety and report equipment issues to supervisors.
• Support life-saving procedures and code blue events if necessary.

Formation

Two-year AMA-approved Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology program

ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology or NMTCB with MRI registry within one year
