Job summary

Atrium Health in Concord, NC is seeking an MRI Technologist I to perform MRI exams, prep patients, acquire images, and support radiologists in the interpretation process while upholding safety and infection control standards.

You will verify orders, identify patients, administer IV contrast when indicated, and ensure quality images for accurate diagnoses. This role requires ARRT MRI registry enrollment within 1 year of hire and a commitment to MRI safety and patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT-accredited Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
• Active enrollment in the MRI ARRT registry or ARMRIT program; registry within 1 year of hire.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Examine requests and verify orders; refer to radiologist as needed.
• Identify patients using two identifiers and explain procedures.
• Interview patients, review EMR, and document findings.
• Oversee exam from start to finish and interpret dictated results.
• Prepare and administer IV contrast per protocol and document details.
• Evaluate image quality and consult radiologist as needed.
