Job summary

Atrium Health Cabarrus MRI is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to perform MRI exams, prepare patients, and ensure high-quality imaging under Radiologist supervision. The role requires ARRT credentials and MRI-specific registry eligibility.

You will handle IV contrast, patient safety, and documentation per department standards. The position offers full-time hours, 40 per week, with a daytime schedule (Mon-Thu 7am-5:30pm) and a pay range reflecting regional MRI tech compensation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT-recognized Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
• MRI ARRT registry eligible or ARMRIT program required.
• BLS/CPR certification preferred or required.
• Ability to perform MRI procedures with IV contrast per protocol.
• Knowledge of radiation safety and infection control practices.

Responsibilities

• Exams and verifies orders; consults Radiologist for discrepancies.
• Identify patients and explain procedures; prepare and document on worksheets.
• Obtain medical history and review EMRs to integrate findings.
• Perform MRI exams from start to finish and dictate results.
• Maintain safety, clean work areas, and report equipment malfunctions.
