Job summary

OSF HealthCare in Loves Park, IL is seeking an MRI Technologist I for a PRN, hourly position. The role involves operating MRI equipment to acquire high-quality images for radiologists and to support patient care throughout imaging procedures.

You will handle EMR/PACS navigation, assist with patient positioning and information delivery, and ensure imaging protocols are followed with regulatory compliance while maintaining a compassionate approach to patients.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited program.
• ARRT MR certification or ARMRIT, or must obtain within one year of hire.
• BLS American Heart Association certification.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; solid computer skills.

Expected pay for this position is $36.39 - $47.63/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity.

This is an Hourly position.

Overview

POSITION SUMMARY: The MRI Technologist I cares for patients while operating equipment to produce high quality images for radiologist interpretation. In addition, the technologist is responsible for EMR/PACS navigation, general patient care, positioning patients, providing procedure information and executing proper imaging protocol/technique for all examinations. Complies with all regulatory requirements in providing safe and appropriate care.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

• - High School Diploma/ GED Graduate from accredited school of Radiologic Technology or MRI accredited program.

Licensure/ Certification:

• BLS American Heart Association; ARRT (MR) Advanced certification in MRI or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT), or must obtain within one year of hire if not currently registered.

Other Skills/ Knowledge:

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience:

• 2 years’ radiography experience. 1 year MRI experience.

Licensure/ Certification:

• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)(R) registered
