Job summary

OSF HealthCare is seeking an MRI Technologist in Illinois to care for patients while operating MRI equipment to produce high quality images for radiologist interpretation. You will navigate EMR/PACS and provide patient care, positioning patients and delivering proper imaging protocol for all exams.

This is a PRN, on-site position with hourly pay. Required qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology or MRI program, and ARRT MRI

Expected pay for this position is $36.39 - $47.63/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an hourly position.

This is a PRN position.

Overview

POSITION SUMMARY: The MRI Technologist cares for patients while operating equipment to produce high quality images for radiologist interpretation. In addition the MRI Technologist is responsible for EMR/PACS navigation, general patient care, positioning patients, providing procedure information and executing proper imaging protocol/technique for all examinations. Complies with all regulatory requirements in providing safe and appropriate care.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

Education

• High School Diploma/ GED
• Graduate from accredited school of Radiologic Technology or MRI accredited program.

Licensure/ Certification

• BLS American Heart Association
• ARRT (MR) Advanced certification in MRI or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT), or must obtain within one year of hire if not currently registered.

Other Skills/ Knowledge

Preferred Qualifications

Experience

• 2 years radiography experience.
• 1 year MRI experience.

Licensure/ Certification

• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)(R)) registered.
