Job summary

Duke Health in Durham, NC seeks an MRI Technologist for full-time (days). The role involves operating high-field MRI systems, ensuring patient safety, and supporting radiology teams across sites. A strong emphasis is on quality imaging and protocol adherence.

Compensation includes a $15,000 commitment bonus and a $3,000 relocation package. The ideal candidate will have prior MR experience, ARRT/ARMRIT MR certification eligibility or MR registry, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Level I must obtain ARRT or ARMRIT MR certification within 18 months of employment.
• Level II minimum of two years' experience as an MRI technologist.
• Level III minimum of 4 years' experience within the specialty modality for promotion.

Responsibilities

• Screen patients for MR safety prior to procedures.
• Assist radiologist with procedure protocoling and performance.
• Start IVs and administer contrast media per protocol.
• Evaluate MR scans for technical quality and label images correctly.
• Schedule patients for procedures and assist with clerical tasks.
• Coordinate scheduling and patient flow across MR sites.
• Educate and train new technologists and trainees.
