Job summary

Duke University Health System seeks an experienced MRI Technologist for the Imaging Centers Arringdon on-site in Durham, NC, working Monday–Friday, 3pm–11pm. The role supports the Imaging Centers Division with MRI procedures, safety checks, and coordination with staff.

A $15,000 commitment bonus plus $3,000 relocation is offered. Required: ARRT MR certification, BLS, and 2+ years MR experience with strong patient communication.

Qualifications

• Screen patients for MR safety prior to procedures and maintain zone safety.
• Proficient in MRI imaging procedures per established protocols and safety standards.
• ARRT MR certification or equivalent with BLS certification.
• Two years of MR experience recommended; ARRT certification within 12 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Operate high field strength MRI magnets and related equipment to produce specialized images.
• Screen for MR safety and ensure patient comfort and safety.
• Evaluate MRI scans for technical quality and proper labeling.
• Maintain supplies and coordinate with staff for smooth operations.
• Provide orientation and training to new MRI technologists.
• Schedule patients and assist with clerical functions.
