Job summary

Northern Nevada Medical Center in Sparks, NV is seeking an MRI Technologist to join our imaging team. This full-time position emphasizes high quality service and the first-line interface with patients to meet their imaging needs.

The ideal candidate has MRI experience, ARRT (MR) certification within one year, and current BLS. We offer comprehensive benefits, professional development, and a supportive work environment at a 124-bed acute care facility.

Qualifications

• MRI experience preferred; ARRT (MR) certification within one year of employment.
• Two years of radiological/imaging experience.
• ARRT (MR) license required.
• Current BLS certification.
• Willingness to take call / standby in MRI department and NNMC as needed.

Responsibilities

• Determines most suitable anatomical posture and positions and shields patients accordingly.
• Assesses patient pain/claustrophobia interfering with imaging; contacts physician for intervention as needed.
• Performs MRI safety checks on all patients and staff prior to entering the MRI room according to policy.
• Ensures care and safety of patients during treatment and use of equipment to minimize hazards.
