Job summary

Universal Health Services is seeking an MRI Technologist at Northern Nevada Medical Center in Sparks, NV. This full-time role offers benefits and a flexible schedule to support high-quality imaging services for patients.

The position focuses on accurate patient positioning, safety, and collaboration with the radiology team to ensure efficient imaging workflows and patient comfort.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree is preferred, but not required.
• Two years of radiological/imaging experience.
• Must become ARRT (MR) licensed within one year of employment.
• ARRT license required.
• Current BLS certification.
• Willing to take call / standby in MRI department and NNMC as needed.

Responsibilities

• Determines most suitable anatomical posture and positions and shields patients accordingly.
• Able to assess patient pain/claustrophobia interfering with imaging procedure and contact physician as needed.
• Performs MRI safety check on all patient and staff prior to entering the MRI room according to policy.
• Responsible for the care and safety of patients undergoing treatment and use of equipment to minimize hazards.

MRI Technologist

Northern Nevada Medical Center is looking for a dynamic MRI Technologist! This position is full time, offers full benefits and a convenient flexible schedule. This individual will focus on high quality service and will be the first line interface with customers in the successful accomplishment of their imaging needs.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Determines most suitable anatomical posture and positions and shields patients accordingly
• Able to assess patient pain/claustrophobia interfering with imaging procedure -makes appropriate physician contact for intervention.
• Performs MRI safety check on all patient and staff prior to entering the MRI room according to policy
• Responsible for the care and safety of patients undergoing treatment and use of equipment to minimize hazards of burns and to patients
