Job summary

Northern Nevada Medical Center is seeking a dynamic MRI Technologist for a full-time role with benefits and a flexible schedule in Sparks, NV. You will focus on high-quality service and be the first line interface with customers in imaging needs.

Qualifications include ARRT MR licensure within one year, current BLS, and 2 years radiology/imaging experience. Willingness to take calls in the MRI department is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree is preferred, but not required.
• Two years of radiological/imaging experience.
• Must become ARRT (MR) licensed within one year of employment.
• ARRT license required.
• Current BLS certification.
• Willing to take call / standby in MRI department and NNMC as needed.

Responsibilities

• Determines most suitable anatomical posture and positions and shields patients accordingly.
• Able to assess patient pain/claustrophobia interfering with imaging procedure and contact physician for intervention.
• Performs MRI safety check on all patients and staff prior to entering the MRI room according to policy.
• Responsible for the care and safety of patients undergoing treatment and use of equipment to minimize hazards.

Education

Bachelor of Science degree (preferred)

Two years radiological/imaging experience

ARRT (MR) license within 1 year

Current BLS certification

Willing to take call / standby in MRI department
