Job summary

Universal Health Services' Northern Nevada Medical Center is seeking an MRI Technologist for a full-time role with full benefits and a flexible schedule. You will be the first line interface with patients to fulfill imaging needs, while maintaining high safety and service standards.

The position requires ARRT (MR) licensure within one year, current BLS certification, and prior MRI experience. Willingness to cover call/standby shifts at NNMC is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree is preferred, but not required.
• Two years of radiological/imaging experience preferred.
• MRI-specific training and ARRT (MR) licensing within one year of employment.
• ARRT license required.
• Current BLS certification.
• Willing to take call/standby in MRI department and NNMC as needed.

Responsibilities

• Determines most suitable anatomical posture and positions and shields patients accordingly.
• Assess patient pain or claustrophobia and contact physician for intervention as needed.
• Perform MRI safety checks on all patients and staff prior to entering the MRI room.
• Ensure patient safety and care during imaging procedures.
