Job summary

Sierra Medical Center, part of Northern Nevada Health System, is seeking an MRI technologist to perform MRI and diagnostic imaging procedures while ensuring patient and employee safety protocols. You will interface with customers to deliver imaging services and participate in CQI activities related to the hospital and radiology department.

The role requires ARRT (MR) licensed within one year, ongoing MRI experience, and BCLS certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree is preferred, but not required.
• Two years of radiological/imaging experience.
• Must become ARRT (MR) licensed within one year of employment.
• ARRT license required.
• Current BCLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Care and safety of patients undergoing treatment and use of equipment to minimize hazards.
• Determine most suitable anatomical posture and positions and shield patients accordingly.
• Assess patient pain/claustrophobia interfering with imaging procedure and contact physician for intervention.
• Perform all aspects of patient care in an environment that prioritizes safety and reduces medical errors.
