Job summary

Responsibilities include screening patients, obtaining medical history, and maintaining safety protocols within the MRI suite. The position requires ARRT MRI registry eligibility and BLS certification, with ongoing professional development in imaging techniques.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited two-year AMA approved program in Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology.
• ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine with advanced MRI registry within one year of hire.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Examine requests and verify orders with the Radiologist before exams.
• Prepare patients with full explanation and brief documentation.
• Interview patients for medical history and review EMRs to obtain pertinent clinical history.
• Perform MRI scans and assist physicians during invasive procedures.
• Maintain MRI safety and ensure proper sterilization and equipment handling.
