Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited radiologic or nuclear medicine program.
• ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology required within 1 year.
• BLS certification required.
• MRI safety training is essential.

Responsibilities

• Examine requests and verify orders with Radiologist before exam.
• Identify patients using two identifiers and explain procedures.
• Interview patients to obtain medical history from EMRs.
• Perform exam from start to finish and document dictated results.
• Prepare and administer IV contrast per protocols.
• Evaluate image quality and consult Radiologist when needed.
• Perform MRI scans and assist during invasive procedures.
• Follow radiation safety standards and report equipment issues.
• Assist anesthesia when needed and maintain sterile technique.
• Keep work area clean and fully stocked.
