Job summary

Advocate Health in the United States is seeking an MRI Technologist to operate MRI equipment for musculoskeletal, neurological, and body imaging, including arthrograms and angiography. You will work under Radiologist supervision to ensure exam accuracy and patient safety.

You will manage patient history, contrast administration, image post-processing, labeling, and documentation in the radiology information system, while performing QA checks and staying current with annual education

Qualifications

• Advanced training in Radiologic Technology from an accredited program.
• No prior experience required.
• Knowledge of cross sectional anatomy and magnetic safety.
• Excellent communication and patient service skills.
• Ability to work independently and use RIS/PACS.

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI equipment to perform basic and intermediate diagnostic procedures.
• Obtain patient history, verify orders, and administer contrast media under Radiologist direction.
• Position patients and adjust scanning factors to acquire optimal images while ensuring safety.
• Post-process images and correctly label files with patient identifiers and scan location.
• Document procedure details in RIS and ensure accurate patient charges.
• Perform QA tests and report equipment issues; evaluate new products.
• Assist with patient positioning and transport as needed.
• Provide age-appropriate patient care and communicate effectively with staff and physicians.
