Job summary

LiveWell Homecare Agency, LLC seeks an MRI Technologist I to perform magnetic resonance imaging procedures for diagnostic, therapeutic, or research purposes in a clinical environment. You will obtain orders, identify patients, prepare exams, and ensure safety following ALARA principles.

Qualifications include ARRT (MR), ARMRIT, or NMTCB MR certification; completion of a radiologic technology specialty program; bachelor’s degree preferred; ability to independently perform MRI and assist licensed

Qualifications

• Hold ARRT (MR) certification or ARMRIT/NMTCB MR.
• Graduate of a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology.
• Ability to independently perform MRI procedures and assist licensed practitioners.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols and patient care.

Responsibilities

• Obtain correct orders, identify patients, and prepare exams.
• Utilize imaging protocols and optimize factors with ALARA safety.
• Prepare/ administer medications as prescribed and document activities.
• Educate/monitor students and healthcare staff on safety and procedures.
• Assist with MRI interventional procedures and select pulse sequences.
• Participate in quality improvement and maintain proficiency in all duties.

Job description

Role: MRI Technologist I responsible for performing magnetic resonance imaging procedures for diagnostic, therapeutic, or research purposes.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Obtain correct orders, identify patients, and ensure proper preparation for exams while maintaining confidentiality.
• Utilize appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and prioritize patient safety following ALARA principles.
• Prepare and administer medications as prescribed, document activities, and evaluate image quality.
• Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers, applying safety principles to minimize risks.
• Assist with MRI interventional procedures and select pulse sequences considering protocols and data acquisition factors.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and demonstrate full proficiency in routine and complex duties.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Certification by ARRT (MR), ARMRIT, or NMTCB (with MR certification).
• Graduate of a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Ability to independently perform MRI procedures and assist licensed practitioners.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols, patient care, and image evaluation.

This role is performed primarily in a clinical environment, requiring adherence to policies and ongoing professional development.
