Job summary

LiveWell Homecare Agency, LLC seeks an MRI Technologist to perform and assist with magnetic resonance imaging procedures, ensuring accurate data collection for licensed practitioners and patient safety.

You will prepare patients, verify information, apply MRI protocols, observe ALARA safety, document medications, educate students and staff, and participate in quality improvements and interventional MRI support as required.

Qualifications

• Certification by ARRT (R or MR) or equivalent required upon hire.
• Graduate of Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Knowledge of MRI safety, imaging protocols, and medication administration.
• Ability to educate others and work collaboratively within a clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Obtain correct patient information, ensure proper identification, and prepare patients for imaging exams.
• Use appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and apply ALARA principles to maximize safety.
• Prepare, administer, and document medications as prescribed, adhering to regulations.
• Evaluate images for quality, proper positioning, and transfer data appropriately.
• Educate and monitor students and healthcare team members.
• Apply safety principles to mitigate risks to patients and staff.
• Assist with interventional MRI procedures and select suitable pulse sequences based on protocols.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and demonstrate proficiency in routine and complex duties.
