Job summary

LiveWell Homecare Agency, LLC in Pennsylvania is seeking an MRI Technologist I with potential for advancement to MRI Technologist II based on skills and experience. The role involves performing and assisting with MRI procedures, ensuring patient identification, preparation, and documentation of clinical history.

You will apply imaging protocols, optimize factors, and adhere to ALARA safety standards to protect patients and achieve high-quality images.

Qualifications

• Certification from ARRT, NMTCB, ARMRIT, or equivalent upon hire; new graduates must obtain certification prior to employment.
• Knowledge of MRI safety standards and procedures.
• Graduate of a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Ability to work independently, communicate effectively, and maintain safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform and assist with MRI procedures, ensuring proper patient identification, preparation, and clinical history documentation.
• Utilize appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and adhere to safety principles like ALARA to ensure patient safety and image quality.
• Prepare, administer, and document medications in compliance with laws and policies.
• Evaluate images for accuracy and quality, verify data transfer, and assist with post-processing as needed.
• Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers, applying MRI safety protocols to minimize risks.
• Support licensed practitioners with MRI procedures and interventional techniques, including selecting pulse sequences and ensuring safety compliance.
