Job summary

Live Well Homecare is seeking an MRI Technologist I to perform magnetic resonance imaging procedures for diagnostic use, assist licensed practitioners, and ensure patient safety in our clinical setting.

You will educate students and healthcare providers, apply ALARA principles, optimize imaging protocols, and manage data transfer and storage while supporting quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• ARRT MR certification or equivalent required.
• Specialty training in radiologic technology with emphasis on MRI.

Responsibilities

• Obtain correct orders, identify and prepare patients, and document clinical history.
• Apply ALARA principles, optimize imaging protocols, and ensure safety.
• Prepare and administer medications as prescribed, evaluate image quality, and manage data transfer/storage.
• Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers, and apply safety principles to minimize risks.
• Assist with MRI interventional procedures and select appropriate pulse sequences.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and demonstrate proficiency in routine and complex duties.

Key Duties

• Obtain correct orders, identify and prepare patients, and document clinical history.
• Utilize appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and apply ALARA principles.
• Prepare and administer medications as prescribed, evaluate image quality, and manage data transfer and storage.
• Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers, and apply safety principles to minimize risks.
• Assist with MRI interventional procedures and select appropriate pulse sequences.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and demonstrate proficiency in routine and complex duties.

Qualifications

• Certification by ARRT (MR), ARMRIT, or NMTCB with ARRT-MR specialization.
• Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology; Bachelor's degree preferred.

Skills
