Job summary

LiveWell Homecare Agency, LLC is seeking an MRI Technologist to conduct diagnostic and therapeutic MRI procedures, ensuring patient identification, safety, and protocol adherence. You will support education of students and staff and participate in MRI-related quality improvement while following ALARA principles.

The role emphasizes accurate image acquisition, safety-focused practice, and collaboration with licensed practitioners.

Qualifications

• ARRT, ARMRIT, or NMTCB MR specialization certification required.
• Radiologic Technology program graduate with preferred Bachelor's degree.
• Strong MRI safety, protocols, and patient care knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Obtain orders, verify patient identity, and document history with confidentiality.
• Apply imaging protocols, optimize factors, and ensure image quality.
• Administer medications via vascular access per prescription and evaluate images.
• Educate and monitor students and healthcare staff; apply safety principles to minimize risks.
• Assist MRI interventions and perform procedures per licensed practitioner’s instructions.
• Select pulse sequences, participate in quality improvement, and perform routine to complex duties.

Role Overview:

MRI Technologists perform diagnostic, therapeutic, and research magnetic resonance imaging using radiofrequencies within a magnetic field. They independently execute or assist with MRI procedures, ensuring proper patient identification, preparation, and safety while adhering to protocols and the ALARA principle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Obtain correct orders, verify patient identity, and document clinical history confidentiality.
• Use appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and ensure image quality.
• Administer medications via vascular access as prescribed, and evaluate images for accuracy.
• Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers; apply safety principles to minimize risks.
• Assist with MRI interventions and perform procedures per licensed practitioner’s instructions.
• Choose suitable pulse sequences, participate in quality improvement activities, and demonstrate proficiency in routine and complex duties.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Certification by ARRT, ARMRIT, or NMTCB with MR specialization.
• Graduate of a Radiologic Technology program; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of MRI safety, technical protocols, and patient care.
• Ability to educate others and participate in process improvements.
