Job summary

Duke Health Lake Norman Hospital in Mooresville, North Carolina, is hiring an MRI Technologist to join a collaborative imaging team. The role involves MR safety screening, assisting radiologists, performing contrast administration, and ensuring high-quality diagnostic imaging across ED, inpatient, and outpatient settings.

Qualified candidates will have ARRT MR certification or eligibility, with 2+ years of MRI experience and BLS.

Qualifications

• Requires ARRT or ARMRIT MR certification within 18 months of employment.
• Two years minimum experience as an MRI technologist for Level II; four years for Level III as applicable.
• Cares for MR safety, imaging protocols, and patient care in a high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

• Screen patients for MR safety prior to procedure.
• Assist radiologist with protocoling and performance.
• Operate contrast administration and monitor patient response.
• Evaluate scans for quality and label appropriately.
• Coordinate scheduling and patient flow across MR sites.
• Educate and train student technologists and new staff.
