Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Specialized Diploma from an accredited Radiology program.
• Ability to handle medical information ethically and confidentially.
• Maturity and judgment in working with patients, equipment, and staff.
• Clear and concise written and oral communication, including email.
• Skills in technical data interpretation.
• AHA BLS required upon hire (PA).
• RT - Radiologic Technologist PA upon hire.
• MR - MRI ARRT PA within 1 year.
• ARMRIT MRI technologist certification within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Operates MRI equipment and manages imaging workflow.
• Collaborates with radiologist and staff to perform MRI exams.
• Ensures MRI safety practices at all times.
• Prepares and positions patients; selects parameters to produce cross-sectional images.
• Ensures prompt submission of high-quality images and patient data to PACS.
• Performs patient pre-screening, scheduling, and education.
• Maintains department cleanliness and organization.
• Performs contrast injections under supervision.
