Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking an MRI Technologist to operate MRI equipment and image management systems, collaborating with radiologists and staff to deliver high-quality patient imaging. In this role you will prepare and position patients, select imaging parameters, and ensure safety protocols are followed across emergency, inpatient, and outpatient settings.

This position requires a high school diploma with an accredited Radiology program, strong communication, and ability to handle

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and specialized radiology program
• Ability to handle medical and confidential information with discretion
• Excellent communication and patient care skills
• Knowledge of MRI safety practices and radiology standards

Responsibilities

• Operates MRI equipment and image management systems in exam procedures
• Collaborates with radiologist and staff to ensure efficient patient testing
• Prepares and positions patients; selects parameters for high-quality cross-sectional images
• Performs pre-screening, scheduling, and patient education for examinations
• Maintains department cleanliness and order, supporting trauma/ICU cases as needed
