Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network seeks an experienced MRI Technologist to operate MRI equipment and collaborate with radiologists to produce high-quality images. You will prepare and position patients, select technical parameters, and ensure timely PACS submissions.

The role requires a radiology diploma, ARRT/MR or ARMRIT credentials, and strong safety and patient-care focus. On-site hospital setting with emphasis on teamwork and patient outcomes.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiology program with diploma.
  • Ability to handle medical information ethically and confidentially.
  • Clear, concise written and oral communication.
  • MR imaging experience and patient positioning proficiency.
  • American Heart Association BLS by hire; MRI technologist ARRT/MR or ARMRIT credentials.

Responsibilities

  • Operates MRI equipment and manages image acquisition.
  • Collaborates with radiologists and staff for patient testing.
  • Prepares and positions patients and selects imaging parameters.
  • Ensures high-quality images and accurate PACS submission.
  • Performs pre-screening, scheduling, and patient education.
  • Maintains department cleanliness and organizes rooms.
  • Performs contrast injections under supervision as needed.
  • Additional duties per department needs.
