Job summary

ChristianaCare Smyrna Outpatient location is seeking a Full-Time MRI Technologist to perform MRI procedures, safety screenings, and quality control within approved protocols. The role requires ARRT registration, MRI certification within 2 years, and Cerner training, with flexibility for shifts and locations.

Responsibilities include patient history collection, consent, insurance verification, and accurate data entry while ensuring privacy and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced imaging

Qualifications

• MR Technologist experience required.
• ARRT Registered Technologist required.
• ARRT Advanced MRI Certification required within 2 years of hire.
• Cerner training required.
• Excellent customer service/telephone skills required.
• Flexibility in hours is required.
• Flexibility to work at alternate locations as needed.
• Ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates complete knowledge and proficiency in MRI units and related systems.
• Performs MRI procedures and quality control per protocols.
• Conducts MRI safety screenings and device checks prior to scanning.
• Maintains compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and Joint Commission rules.
• Completes technical and non-imaging procedures within scheduled times.
• Enters accurate patient study information into clinical care systems.
• Supports workflow coordination and patient care activities.
• Obtains clinical history and appropriate patient consent.
• Verifies insurance pre-authorization as defined by protocols.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and uses two identifiers.
