Job summary

ChristianaCare is seeking a Part-Time MRI Technologist at the Springside location. The role requires ARRT certification, MRI-specific credentials, and Cerner training. You will perform MRI procedures, ensure safety, and maintain compliance with Joint Commission and state regulations.

Two 12-hour shifts weekly with weekend rotation and potential cross-location work. The position emphasizes high-quality patient care, accurate documentation, and teamwork in a busy radiology department.

Qualifications

• MR Technologist-experience required.
• ARRT Registered Technologist required.
• ARRT Advanced MRI Certification required within 2 years of hire.
• Cerner training required.
• Excellent customer service/telephone skills required.
• Flexibility in hours is required.
• Ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge and proficiency in MRI units and related systems.
• Performs MRI procedures and quality control per departmental protocols.
• Performs MRI safety screenings prior to scanning.
• Maintains compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and Joint Commission.
• Completes all imaging and non-imaging procedures within scheduled times.
• Enters accurate patient study information into clinical care systems.
• Assists with workflow coordination and patient care activities.
• Obtains clinical history and consent.
• Verifies insurance pre-authorization per departmental protocols.
• Maintains patient confidentiality.
• Uses 2 patient identifiers at all times.
• Demonstrates ability to obtain IV access.
• Assesses patient for adverse reactions and/or changes in status.
• Demonstrates knowledge of contrast media injectors.
• Performs i-STAT testing and calculates GFR per policy.
