Qualifications

• Ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates complete knowledge and proficiency in MRI units and related systems.
• Performs MRI procedures and quality control per protocols.
• Performs MRI safety screenings prior to scanning.
• Maintains compliance with regulations and Joint Commission standards.
• Completes all imaging and non-imaging procedures in scheduled times.
• Enters accurate patient study information into care systems.
• Assists with workflow coordination and patient care activities.
• Obtains clinical history and consent for examinations.
• Verifies insurance pre-authorization per protocols.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and uses two identifiers.
• Demonstrates IV access capability.
• Assesses patient status and adverse reactions.
• Proficient with contrast media injectors and i-STAT testing with GFR calculations.
