Job summary

ChristianaCare Smyrna Outpatient is seeking a Full-Time MRI Technologist to join our imaging team. You will perform MRI procedures, ensure safety, and maintain quality control in line with departmental protocols.

The role requires ARRT credentials, state licensure, and Cerner experience, with the ability to work day shifts and occasional weekend rotation. Excellent customer service and independent work skills are essential.

Qualifications

• ARRT registered technologist with MRI specialization is required.
• ARRT MRI registry to be completed within 2 years of hire.
• State licensure in Radiation Protection required.
• Associate degree or related field with possible substitution.
• CPR certification and yearly PEEPS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates proficiency in MRI units and related systems.
• Performs MRI procedures and quality control per dept. protocols.
• Conducts MRI safety screenings for patients and implants.
• Complies with Joint Commission and licensure regulations.
• Enters patient data accurately and supports workflow coordination.
• Obtains patient history and consent for examinations.
• Verifies insurance pre-authorization prior to scanning.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and uses two patient identifiers.
• Demonstrates IV access and management of adverse reactions.
