Job summary

Advocate Health in Kannapolis seeks a MRI Technologist to perform MRI examinations and support the radiology team in a high-volume imaging department.

Responsibilities include verifying orders with Radiologists, obtaining patient history, preparing patients for procedures, administering IV contrast according to protocols, and maintaining strict safety standards. ARRT MRI registry eligibility required. Full-time role with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT-recognized Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
• MRI registry must be obtained within 1 year of hire. BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Examine requests, verify orders with Radiologist before performing exam.
• Identify and assist patients; explain procedures and document on worksheets.
• Interview patients for medical history; review EMRs for pertinent history and record on requisitions.
• Oversight from exam start to completion of dictated results.
• Prepare and administer IV contrast per protocols; record contrast type and amount as needed.
• Evaluate image quality and consult Radiologist; adjust images or measurements as instructed.
