Job summary

UofL Health in Louisville seeks an MRI Technologist to operate the MR scanner, obtain high-quality images, and ensure patient safety. You will prepare and administer contrast per policy, collect patient history, and document records while following HIPAA and regulatory standards.

Ideal candidates have graduate MR Radiologic Technology training, ARRT MR certification, and Kentucky Radiation Operator license, with BLS within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited MR Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT MR certification required; Kentucky Radiation Operator’s License strongly preferred.
• BLS certification within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Performs MRI procedures to ensure quality patient care in accordance with Radiologist’s expectations and protocols
• Ensures compliance with the National Patient Safety goals
• Supports and reports any identified compliance matters
• Participates in hospital and department quality assurance programs to ensure safety and satisfaction
• Uses standard precautions, including PPE, at all time
