Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center seeks an MRI Technologist to perform MRI imaging, protocol optimization, and equipment maintenance under physician supervision. You will screen patients for safety, review orders, and ensure accurate documentation.

The role requires BLS and ARRT-MR or ARMRIT certification, with at least two years of MRI experience preferred. Typical shift is Mon-Fri, 8:30 AM–5 PM, on-site in Texas.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required by first day of employment.
• ARRT-MR or ARMRIT certification required by hire date.

Responsibilities

• Review orders for accuracy and appropriateness of MRI protocol.
• Screen patients for MRI safety and contraindications; obtain medical history.
• Administer contrast when indicated and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Perform MRI procedures and post-processing as needed; ensure proper labeling and documentation.
• Maintain QC and participate in accreditation activities.
