Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform MRI imaging exams, ensure protocol accuracy, and assist with equipment maintenance. The role requires safety screening, patient education, and coordination with physicians.

Qualifications

• BASIC LIFE SUPPORT certification (AHA/ARC) by start of employment.
• ARRT-MR certification required upon hire.
• American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Review orders for accuracy and MRI protocol; screen patients for safety and contraindications.
• Conduct patient interviews, obtain medical history, and explain procedures for diagnostic imaging.
• Perform MRI procedures with timely image acquisition and proper labeling; assist with contrast administration as needed.
• Maintain QC and documentation, participate in accreditation imaging requirements.
• Communicate with physicians, radiologists, and nursing staff to ensure smooth workflow.
