Job summary

UofL Health in Louisville is seeking an MRI Technologist to operate the MR scanner and support diagnostic imaging. The role requires knowledge of high-field safety, contrast administration, patient history collection, and quality assurance of the MRI system.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited MR Radiologic Technology program.
ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology; MR certification within 2 years.
Valid Kentucky Radiation Operator's License is preferred.
BLS certification within 30 days of employment.
MRI experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Operate a magnetic resonance scanner to obtain diagnostic images.
Maintain knowledge of high-field strength safety and comply with policies.
Prepare and administer contrast media according to hospital procedures.
Obtain patient history, explain routine procedures, and address patient concerns.
Maintain patient records and perform quality assurance on the MRI system.
Follow PPE and standard precautions at all times.
