Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital in Georgia is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform diagnostic MRI procedures for patients of all ages under the Radiologist supervision. You will position patients, select protocols, and operate imaging equipment following established standards.

Requirements include AMA/JRCERT radiologic training, ARDMS/ARRT registration upon hire, and BCLS. 6 months MRI experience is preferred, with no experience required otherwise. This is a full-time on-site opportunity in Atlanta.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program Required
• No experience required; 6 months as an MRI Technologist preferred
• (R) ARDMS or ARRT - Radiographer Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology in Radiography (R) Upon Hire Required
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competence and proficiency in performing all MRI procedures on patients of all age groups. Positions patient, selects the correct protocol, and utilizes all required equipment.
• Maintains competencies in all non-scanner related components.
• Accurately follows all established imaging protocols for exam being performed.
• Performs quality control procedures in accordance with the ACR guidelines.
• Provides quality age specific care in accordance with prescribed standards and practices.
• Provides patient education and communications in accordance with prescribed standards.
• Must be competent and proficient to position, select correct protocol and utilize imaging equipment on patients of all age groups for radiological exams, when requested.
