Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a dedicated MRI Technologist to perform diagnostic MR imaging across age groups, under the supervision of a Radiologist. You will position patients, select protocols, and ensure adherence to imaging standards while maintaining competency in all non-scanner tasks.

The role requires graduation from an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT-accredited training, with ARDMS/ARRT registration and BCLS on hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program.
• No experience required; 6 months as MRI Technologist preferred.
• (R) ARDMS or ARRT - Radiographer Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology in Radiography (R) Upon Hire Required
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competence and proficiency in performing all MRI procedures on patients of all age groups.
• Positions patient, selects the correct protocol, and utilizes all required equipment.
• Maintains competencies in all non-scanner related components.
• Accurately follows all established imaging protocols for exam being performed.
• Performs quality control procedures in accordance with the ACR guidelines.
• Provides quality age specific care in accordance with prescribed standards and practices.
• Provides patient education and communications in accordance with prescribed standards.
